Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines in handling ethical concerns.
- Responsibilities of Authors
- Originality: Authors must submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarism: Manuscripts are screened using Turnitin. Submissions with more than 15% similarity (excluding references) are automatically rejected.
- Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the work. Guest or honorary authorship is not permitted.
- Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy of data presented and provide raw data when requested.
- Disclosure: Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
- Acknowledgment: All sources of funding, institutional support, or other contributions must be acknowledged.
- Corrections: Authors are obliged to inform the editor if they discover errors after publication and cooperate in corrections or retractions.
- Responsibilities of Editors
- Fair Review: Submissions are evaluated based on academic merit without discrimination.
- Confidentiality: All information regarding submitted manuscripts is kept confidential.
- Conflicts of Interest: Editors will recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
- Editorial Independence: Decisions are made based solely on the manuscript's scholarly quality and fit within the journal's scope.
- Post-publication Responsibility: Editors will address ethical complaints and take action when misconduct is identified.
- Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be constructive and impartial, avoiding personal criticism.
- Timeliness: Reviewers should respond within the agreed timeframe.
- Disclosure: Reviewers must inform the editor of any conflicts of interest and decline to review if necessary.
